The second one looks lighter because you can see more of the orange zebra rock section and I think I have photoshopped the first one.

Lovely Glennis, I really like the black shading, in both areas. And the orange and red part in the second picture. How much more to do?
Beautiful work Glennis!
Thanks Mary.
How much more to do? About as much as I have already done. I very much value the positive reinforcement by you and Michelle.
Thank you Michelle. As I said to Mary, I very much value your comments. Hope that your are on the last leg of your piece. 15 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*GROAN* Don't remind me!!! :P
About 11cm x 49cm to go - I have tomorrow off work, lotsa late nights and a couple of weekends ;)
I like the way the darker blobs in the orange soften the contrast with the red across the creek - and also like the black splatter in the red. Lovely.
Thank you Misha; I value your positive comments too. Mary also commented on the shading/splatter; it is actually green not black. My mentor suggested it and also recommended a book on colour that they use at the workshop the name of which I have forgotten. I will have to ask.
